Create a post

Start from any available entry point:

  • Select the post field in the Feed.
  • In the web app's top navigation bar, select the + button (labelled Create when you point to it), then select Post.
  • In the mobile app or on a smaller screen, select the floating + button in the bottom-right corner, then select Post.
  • As a page owner or contributor, open the page's Posts section and select its post field.
  • As an event creator or organizer, open the event's Posts section and select its post field.

The selected entry point opens the post composer.

  1. Select the destination. It may already be selected or locked when you start from a page or event.
  2. Add text, mentions, hashtags, emojis, images, a file, or a link.
  3. Check the visibility message.
  4. Select Post.

The Post button becomes available when the post contains text, a valid poll, an image, or an attachment.

Select text to use headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, numbered or bulleted lists, and links. coapp creates a preview for the first suitable link. A link to content in the same community can appear as a coapp content preview.

Add images and files

A single image appears directly in the post; multiple images appear as a gallery. File attachments appear below the post content. The maximum file size depends on the community plan, and coapp shows the applicable limit if an upload is too large.

For supported formats, media providers, file limits, and preview behavior, see Add images, files, video, and audio to a post.

Continue an unfinished post

Meaningful drafts are stored for your account in the current browser and expire after seven days. Text, polls, uploaded attachments, and the selected destination can be restored. Newly selected images and files that have not finished uploading must be added again. Publishing clears the draft.
