Content and communication in coapp

coapp provides several ways for members and organizers to exchange information. Choose the format according to who should see the information and whether others should contribute.

UseBest forWho sees it
PostsUpdates, questions, media, links, and pollsThe audience selected for the post: the main community feed, a page, or an event
PagesLasting information and collaboration around a topic, project, or groupPeople allowed by the page's visibility and access settings
MessengerDirect or private group conversationsOnly the people in the chat
AnnouncementsAn additional alert for an especially important postActive members selected by the announcement behavior and notification choice
NotificationsKeeping up with relevant activity through coapp, push, or emailThe signed-in member, according to their preferences and role

Channels organize pages; they are not conversations themselves. Event updates stay associated with an event, while page posts stay associated with a page. The post composer may also offer a way to share an update to the main community feed.

Find relevant information

Use the search field in the top navigation on the web, or the search icon in the mobile app, to find posts, events, members, pages, and—when enabled—market items that you are allowed to see.

The main feed can also show Suggested content when coapp has at least five page or event recommendations for you. Scroll through the cards or select Refresh to load another set. Suggested content does not grant additional access; opening an item still follows its visibility rules.
