Pages and channels in coapp
Pages give a community a lasting place for a topic, group, project, or collection of resources. A page can combine an introduction, ordered content sections, links, files, members, and a page-specific Posts feed.
Channels organize related pages. For example, a community might use separate channels for working groups, knowledge, or local initiatives. Admins create and configure channels; who can create pages in each channel depends on the channel setting.
Find pages and channels
In the web app, use My pages or select a channel name in the left navigation. My pages contains pages where you are an owner, contributor, or follower. A channel shows the pages assigned to it.
In the mobile app or on a smaller screen, select Pages in the bottom navigation. Then select My pages or a channel.
You can also select the search button and search for a page. Page results appear under Pages.
What page members can do
| Role | What the person can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Edit or delete the page, manage its content, add members, and change member roles. |
| Contributor | Publish posts in the page's Posts feed. |
| Follower | Receive notifications about new posts on the page. |
Anyone who can see a page can follow it. Whether other members can join as contributors depends on the page's joining setting.
Page visibility
- A Private page is visible only to its page members and community admins. It is not listed in its channel for other members.
- A Community page is visible to all community members and is listed in its channel.
- A Page with exclusive content is visible and discoverable by all community members. Everyone sees the introduction above its divider; members need one of the selected membership plans to access protected content below it. Only admins can configure this page type.
