Add links to posts and pages
Links can appear inside formatted text, as a preview in a post, or in a page's separate Links card. Choose the placement according to how readers should use the destination.
Link text in a post
- Open the post composer from the feed, a page, or an event.
- Write the link text and select it.
- Select the link control in the formatting toolbar.
- Enter the destination URL and apply the link.
- Select Post.
You can also paste a URL directly into the post. coapp creates a preview for the first suitable link. Additional links remain clickable without receiving another preview. Links to community posts, pages, events, or market items can use a coapp content preview; supported public video and audio links can use an embedded player.
Link text in a page section
As a page owner:
- Open the page.
- Select Add Section, then select Text Section. To change an existing section, select its edit control instead.
- Write the link text and select it.
- Select the link control in the editor and enter the destination URL.
- Save the section.
The link is part of that content section. On a page with exclusive content, its visibility depends on whether the section is above or below Exclusive content starts below.
Add a related link to a page
Use the Links card for a separate list of resources, partner websites, or related topics:
- Open the page.
- In the Links card, select Add.
- Enter the URL under Add a link.
- Select Save.
Use the trash button beside a link to remove it. A page link follows the page's visibility. On a locked exclusive-content page, the Links card is hidden from visitors who do not have access.
