Edit, delete, pin, or announce posts

Open the three-dot menu on a post to see the actions available for your role and that post.

Edit or delete your post​

Authors can select Edit, update a normal post, and select Save. The destination cannot be changed while editing, and published polls cannot be edited. Authors can also select Delete and confirm; deletion cannot be undone from the post interface.

Admins can delete another member's post but cannot edit it as that member.

Pin an important post​

Admins can select Pin to place an eligible post above the regular feed and Unpin to remove it. Only posts without a page or event destination can be pinned. Pinning depends on the community plan; coapp shows an upgrade prompt when it is unavailable.

Announce a post​

Admins can select Announce and confirm Send announcement to send an additional notification to active community members. If shown, Ignore notification preferences sends it regardless of member notification choices.

A post can be announced once. Announcements depend on the community plan and are unavailable for private or unpublished page content. Active members already receive new-post notifications by default, so use manual announcements for especially important updates.

Announcements and newsletters​

An announcement is a one-time notification about a post; it is not a newsletter campaign or a member email list. To connect a newsletter service or create another external communication workflow, use Manage community integrations. The available options depend on the connected service and your community setup.
