Hide, duplicate, or delete an event
Keeping an event's status accurate helps members understand which activities are still available and prevents outdated information from creating confusion. Drafting, duplicating, and deleting serve different purposes and should preserve clear communication with existing participants.
coapp does not provide a separate Cancel event state. Choose the action that matches the intended result.
To find these actions, open My events and open an event that you manage. The publishing-status control and the three-dot management button appear in the management bar at the top of the event.
Hide an event
Select the publishing-status control, then select Draft. The event is hidden without deleting its configuration. Use this when an event has participants and therefore cannot be deleted from the event page.
Changing an event to Draft does not automatically cancel attendance or issue ticket refunds. Manage ticket refunds separately before communicating the cancellation to attendees.
Duplicate an event
Select the three-dot management button, then Duplicate, to open a new event form containing details from the existing event. Review dates, participation, tickets, content, and visibility before publishing the copy.
Delete an event
Select the three-dot management button, then Delete, only when the event has no participants. Deletion cannot be undone. When participants exist, coapp displays: This event has participants and can't be deleted. Set it to Draft to hide it instead.
Attendance cancellation, ticket refunds, hiding an event, and deleting an event are separate actions.
