Manage community administrators
Administrators can manage community settings and member accounts. Grant this role only to people who need that level of access. A person must already be a member before you can add them as an administrator.
The Administrators view also identifies you with a You label and identifies the community owner with the Billing admin label. The community owner is responsible for the coapp subscription, invoices, and billing communication.
Add an administrator
- Select Manage > Community > Administrators.
- Select Add.
- Search for an existing member by name or email address.
- Select the member. Repeat this step if you want to add several people at once.
- Select Save.
If you cannot find someone, first invite or add them as a member.
Your coapp plan can limit the number of administrators. When the limit is reached, coapp shows a warning and the Add action opens the subscription-upgrade prompt instead of the member selector.
Remove administrator rights
- Open Manage > Community > Administrators.
- Find the administrator in the table.
- Select the trash icon labelled Remove administrator.
- Confirm with Delete.
Removing administrator rights does not delete the member account. The person remains a member with access based on their status, plan, and other permissions.
You cannot remove the last administrator or the community owner from this list. To change the community owner, use the ownership-transfer process associated with the coapp account and subscription.
Delete a former administrator's account
After removing the person's admin rights, open Manage > Community > Members, select their account, and use its action menu if the member account must also be deleted. Review active plans, invoices, and bookings before deletion.
