Sign in and out of the coapp web app
Sign in through your community's coapp web address. coapp checks which sign-in methods are available for your Community account after you enter your email address. Depending on the account and community configuration, you can use a password, a one-time code sent by email, or a connected identity provider.
Start signing in
- Open your community's coapp web app.
- On the Log in page, enter the email address registered for that community.
- Select Continue.
If you entered the wrong address, select the back arrow in the upper-left corner of the login card and start again.
Sign in with a password
When password sign-in is available, coapp shows the password field after you select Continue.
- Enter your password.
- Select Log in.
If the account also supports email codes, select Use a one-time code to use that method instead. To create a new password, select Reset Password below the password field and follow Reset your password.
Sign in with a one-time email code
For a code-only account, coapp sends a verification code as soon as you select Continue. If the account also supports passwords, select Use a one-time code from the password step first.
- Open the latest verification email sent to the displayed email address.
- Enter the code in Verification code.
- Select Verify code.
If the code is invalid or has expired, check that you entered the newest code. You can correct the code without leaving the form. Resend code becomes available after the 60-second countdown. If password sign-in is also available, select Use password instead to switch methods.
Never share a password or one-time verification code with another person, including a community administrator or support contact.
Sign in with a connected identity provider
If your community has configured an external identity provider, its sign-in action appears on the Log in page. Select the provider and complete its sign-in process. If the connection cannot be completed, return to the coapp login page and try again or contact your community administrator.
Community administrators can find setup guidance under Configure an OAuth2 identity provider.
Continue to the requested page
When a protected coapp link sends you to the login page, coapp returns you to that page after successful sign-in. When you open the login page directly, coapp normally opens the community home page. Guest accounts open My events instead.
A valid web session is restored when you reopen or reload the community. If the session is no longer valid, coapp asks you to sign in again. If a login step expires while you are entering a password or code, return to the email step and restart the sign-in process.
Sign out
- Select your profile picture in the top navigation bar.
- Select Log out.
coapp ends the current web session and opens the login page. Signing out does not delete your Community account.
If you cannot sign in
- Confirm that you used the email address registered for this community.
- For a missing code, check the inbox and spam or junk folder for that address, then wait for Resend code to become available.
- For an invalid or expired code, request a new code and use only the latest one.
- For an incorrect password, try again or use Reset Password when that action is available.
- If coapp reports that login is temporarily unavailable, wait and try again.
- If the problem continues, contact a community administrator. Do not send them your password or verification code.
